The A09 Titan is the heavy-duty model in the Freedom Chair range. It carries up to 227 kg, the highest in the range, on a 500 mm wide and 480 mm deep cushion, with an inside armrest width of 540 mm or 590 mm. It still folds for travel and storage.
Twin 400 W rear-wheel drive motors and a 24 V 20 Ah battery give up to 8 km/h and about 20 km. Pneumatic tyres, 356 mm (14 in) at the rear and 203 mm (8 in) at the front, with spring suspension, give a steadier ride. The base weighs 35 kg plus a 3.2 kg battery, so plan for a hoist, a ramp or two people when loading it into a vehicle.
Who it suits
Larger adults, up to 227 kg, who need a powered chair that folds for travel or storage and who can transfer independently. Seat height is 570 mm from the ground to the top of the cushion. The weight of the chair makes vehicle loading the key question to settle at the trial. The prescribing OT makes the final call. Book a trial at home or in one of our showrooms.
