The MovingStar London is one of the lightest power wheelchairs we offer. Its carbon fibre frame weighs 13 kg without the battery, and the chair folds down to 745 x 365 x 720 mm, so it fits in most car boots and tucks away at home. That makes it easier for a client to keep using powered mobility on outings, appointments and trips away.
Wide tyres with suspension take the edge off footpaths and paved surfaces. Top speed is 6 km/h and the range is about 10 km or more per charge, which suits shopping centres, local errands and travel days. The seat is 440 mm wide and 400 mm deep, and the turning radius of 900 mm or less helps indoors.
Who it suits
A client up to 120 kg who can transfer and sit without postural support, and who wants a light chair that a carer or family member can lift into the car. It has a standard seat and back. Clients who need tilt, pressure management or specialised controls are better served by a complex rehab powerchair, and the final choice rests with the prescribing OT.
