The A08L Premium Sport takes the A08 Premium and swaps the solid rear wheels for 305 mm (12 in) pneumatic tyres. Air tyres absorb far more of the bumps on gravel paths, grass, cracked footpaths and country towns, which matters on a long day in the chair.
Everything else is familiar: a 490 x 440 mm seat, 160 kg capacity, 12 degree climbing, a height-adjustable backrest and suspension front and rear. The frame weighs 24 kg without its 1.6 kg lithium battery. One battery gives about 15 km, and Portable Mobility notes the range extends with a second or third battery.
Who it suits
Adults up to 160 kg who can transfer independently and spend time on uneven ground, at the beach car park, in the garden or on rural roads, and want a folding chair that still fits in the car.
