This K Care self propelled shower commode carries a slide out weight bearing footplate, which is the point of difference you want for a client who stands to transfer or who pushes through their feet to reposition in the chair. The plate takes load safely, then retracts out of the way so it does not catch on a toilet pan or a shower hob.
The client propels on large rear wheels with push to lock brakes, and the front castors lock in all directions. Arms swing up so a side transfer is unobstructed, and a three strap backrest gives support while letting water through. An integrated push handle lets a carer steer when needed.
It is built for the K Care removable seat range, so the aperture is chosen to suit the person. The padded seat is a separate item, and push rims can be added.
