About this product

This is the shower commode for a client who has the arm strength and the sitting balance to get themselves around the bathroom, for example someone with paraplegia or a lower limb amputation. One chair covers showering and toileting, so there is no changing chairs halfway through the routine.

It comes in two layouts. The rear self propel version (KA120SR) is the conventional wheelchair arrangement. The front self propel version (KA120SF) puts the large wheels under the hands at the front, which suits a client who cannot reach behind and down, or a bathroom where rear wheels would foul the toilet cistern. Worth deciding that before delivery.

Arms swing up for side transfers, footrests swing away and adjust for height, and the seat lifts out for cleaning. The K Care changeable seat range fits, so a padded seat or a smaller aperture can be substituted later without replacing the chair. The stainless steel frame is built for wet areas. A client who is always pushed by a carer is better served by an attendant propelled commode, which is narrower and lighter.
