For a client who wants to manage their own bathroom routine, the K Care KA120SR-HA is a shower commode they can drive themselves. Large rear wheels put the push rims under the hands, so the trip from bedroom to shower to toilet does not need a carer at all.
The height adjustable frame is what makes it work for slide transfers. Set the seat level with the bed or wheelchair and the client moves across sideways under their own power, and the same adjustment lets the chair roll high enough to clear a toilet pan. Loop style arms swing up out of the way for that transfer and drop back down for support once the client is seated. Footrests swing away for the same reason.
The stainless steel frame handles daily wet use, the seat lifts out for cleaning, and push to lock brakes hold it still while someone gets on or off. It is a regular choice for NDIS participants at home and residents in supported accommodation.
