The DE09 Mighty Plus sits between the everyday models and the bariatric A09. It carries 190 kg, and like the DE08 it splits for lifting, here into two segments of 23 kg and 18.9 kg, so a strong chair can still travel in a car.
Twin 350 W brushless motors, 356 mm (14 in) pneumatic rear tyres and 229 mm (9 in) pneumatic front tyres with a front fork shock absorber give it a capable ride on rougher ground. The armrests adjust in width, height and forwards and flip up, and the backrest angle and footrest adjust. Range is about 10 km per battery, up to 30 km with three. Portable Mobility describes the batteries as airline approved lithium batteries.
Who it suits
Larger adults up to 190 kg who can transfer independently and want a sturdy chair that still comes apart for the car, where the A09 is more chair than they need.
