The Robooter E60-A is a folding power wheelchair for a client who wants more comfort and outdoor ability than a basic travel chair, and still needs it to fit in the car. The 254 mm (10 in) omnidirectional front wheels roll sideways as well as forwards, which helps the chair turn in tight spaces, with a minimum turning radius of 800 mm. Pneumatic 254 mm (10 in) rear tyres soften footpaths and park paths.
The back reclines from 8 to 38 degrees for a rest during a long day, and the armrest width adjusts to the user. The chair travels at up to 8 km/h, covers up to 30 km per charge, climbs slopes up to 9 degrees and steps over obstacles up to 50 mm. It folds to 770 x 640 x 500 mm.
Who it suits
A client up to 150 kg with good sitting balance and hand function who needs powered mobility for community access, shopping and outdoor paths. At 32.4 kg it is a substantial lift, so check how it will be transported. Clients who need tilt, pressure management or specialised controls are better served by a complex rehab powerchair, and the final choice rests with the prescribing OT.
