The A11 Mini Plus is the Freedom Chair made for children. Portable Mobility designed it to adapt as a child grows: the armrests adjust in height, length and width, the footplate adjusts in height and length, and the backrest angle adjusts from 0 to 22 degrees. A powered seat height adjustment of up to 50 mm is available as an option.
It folds in one piece and weighs 26 kg. Twin 250 W brushless motors and a lithium battery give about 15 km, or 30 km with a second battery. Pneumatic 305 mm (12 in) rear tyres, coil suspension and electromagnetic brakes keep the ride steady, and the Bluetooth control panel adds voice playback, LED lighting, a USB port and phone app remote control.
Who it suits
Children and smaller young people up to 90 kg who are ready for independent powered mobility and whose family wants a chair that can travel in the car. Room to adjust means it can stay in use as the child grows. Fit, growth allowance and controls should be worked through with the child’s OT. Book a trial at home or in one of our showrooms.
