The Raz-CAT is the compact Raz-AT, built for paediatric, adolescent and smaller adult clients who need attendant controlled tilt in the bathroom but are lost in a full size chair. The seat frame tilts with gas spring assistance and holds anywhere in the range, so the carer can find the angle the client tolerates rather than picking from fixed stops.
The back frame adjusts for depth, which is the detail that matters for a growing child: one chair can carry several years of growth instead of being replaced. It comes with a head support and small pad, tool-free height adjustable foot supports, and a visco foam seat with a tapered oblong aperture. The stainless steel frame runs on dual-locking castors and is warranted for life against corrosion.
Who it suits
A child, teenager or small adult who cannot sit upright unsupported for showering and toileting and needs a carer to control tilt, for example with cerebral palsy, a neuromuscular condition or after acquired brain injury. The adjustable back depth means one chair can last several years of growth. A larger adult, or a client who needs more capacity than this chair is rated for, should be assessed on the full-size Raz-AT.
