A manually operated tilt and recline shower commode for clients who cannot hold themselves upright through a shower and toilet routine. Tilting the whole seat unit keeps the hip and knee angles set while shifting the client’s weight back, which helps with head and trunk control and takes pressure off the sitting surface.
Who it suits
Think of it for a person with poor postural control, high tone or fatigue who needs to be showered and toileted in one chair, and for households or facilities where a hoist transfer happens at the start of the routine and nothing else until it is over.
The frame is stainless steel throughout with a tear safe design and no protrusions to catch skin or slings. Armrests swing back independently for side transfers and adjust between two heights, and the legrests swing away, lift off and adjust for height with flip up footplates. Pan rack guides are built in for toileting. The padded or pressure care seat is ordered separately.
