The DayLite is the sling for a client who stays in a sling all day. It is made from thin, soft parachute fabric that breathes and lets moisture pass, so it can sit behind a person in a wheelchair or seating system without trapping heat or damp against the skin.
There are no hard seams or pressure points through the seated area, which matters for clients already at risk of pressure injury. Head support is built in and the leg sections are padded for clients who feel the straps at the thigh. The seat area stays free, so toileting is possible without taking the sling out and putting it back.
For carers, this cuts the number of times a client has to be rolled and repositioned each day, which is often the difference between a transfer plan that gets followed and one that quietly stops.
