An attendant propelled shower commode for clients who need to be wheeled to the bathroom and cannot self propel. It folds, which matters if the chair has to travel in a car boot for respite, or be stored out of the way in a small unit bathroom.
The back is a three strap design, so it gives support while leaving the back open for perineal access and for drying. Arms swing up out of the way for a side transfer from a bed or a wheelchair, and the footrests swing away and lift off completely, clearing the front for a standing transfer. Footrest height adjusts to the client’s leg length.
Four locking castors hold the chair still during transfers, and the push handle is integrated into the frame for the carer. It is designed around K Care’s removable seats, so the seat can be matched to the client. Padded seating is ordered separately.
