The e-fix E35 turns a manual wheelchair into a powered one. The drive wheels take the place of the client’s rear wheels and a control unit mounts at the armrest, so the chair keeps its frame, its seating and its footprint and the client keeps a set up they already trust.
It suits a client who cannot self propel far, one whose shoulders are paying for every push, or one who currently relies on a carer to push and would rather drive themselves. The wheels come off without tools, so the chair still folds for a car boot and the components travel separately.
The control unit has a colour display, a horn and a light, and the system can be programmed to the client’s hand function, including a choice of joystick handles. An attendant control is available where a carer does the driving.
