The Quickie Q50 R Carbon solves a specific problem: a client needs powered mobility in the community, but the chair has to travel in a car boot, lifted by a partner or support worker. The carbon fibre frame keeps it light, and it folds with the battery still fitted, so nobody is pulling components apart in a car park.
The battery is IATA approved, which makes flying possible rather than a negotiation at the gate, and a second battery doubles the range for longer days out. Indoors, the tight turning radius lets it work in a hallway or a small bathroom, and it will take a low kerb on the way.
