Carers who load a wheelchair into a car boot several times a week feel every kilogram. The Comfort Lite transit chair is built on an aluminium frame and is light enough for most carers to lift on their own, with a backrest that folds forward to cut the packed height.
It is set up for attendant pushing, with flat free tyres that never need inflating, double handbrakes for the carer and anti tippers on the rear. The seat and backrest cushions are removable for washing, and the fixed armrests are padded in polyurethane.
Positioning is looked after with a seat belt plus removable calf and side straps, so a client who lists or slides can be supported without adding separate accessories. A pocket in the backrest takes the everyday things a client carries.
