The Adept comes in two versions: the Propel, with large rear wheels for self-propelling, and the Transit, for a carer to push. Both have a one-touch collapsible frame and a collapsible backrest, and a folding lock strap keeps the chair closed in the boot.
Swing-away leg rests and flip-up footplates with a heel loop clear the way for transfers. Push-to-lock and user brakes, a one-touch push-button wheel release and solid Air Ride tyres keep things simple day to day. The seat and back cushions are removable and washable, and there is a rear backrest pocket and a mesh armrest pocket for a phone.
Who it suits
The Propel suits a person who self-propels and travels often by car. The Transit suits someone who is pushed by a carer. Both are crash tested to 136 kg. Ask us about tie-down and vehicle use before transport. The seat and back are fixed, so someone who needs postural support, tilt or a specialised pressure cushion will be better served by an adjustable chair. Book a trial and we will work through the options with the prescribing OT.
