The Zitzi Starfish Pro is a hygiene chair for showering and toileting where the client needs real postural support to be safe and comfortable. It comes with the standard seat cushion, and the seat, back, leg sections and lateral supports all adjust, so you can set the chair up around the client.
Tilt and back angle are adjustable, which takes the work out of holding someone upright and lets a carer wash and dry at a sensible working height. The leg sections open and close for abduction and adduction, with space between them for catheterisation. The lining is pressure relieving and made for hygiene use, so it stays kind to skin and repels dirt and liquid.
Who it suits
It suits children and adults who cannot sit safely on a plain shower chair, and it grows with the client through the adjustable sections and the choice of sizes. Tilt can be manual, hydraulic or electric depending on how much lifting the carer should be doing.
