Armrests change how a hygiene chair feels to sit in. The back mounted armrest for the Starfish Pro fixes to the back profile and brings the arm plates in or out, so the forearms are supported at the right width for the person rather than left hanging.

Supported arms take load off the shoulders and help a client who fatigues quickly stay upright through a shower or a longer toileting routine. The width is set at fitting and adjusted again as the child grows, which is useful when the chair is expected to last several years.

It is supplied in three sizes to match the three chair sizes, and it mounts from the back so the space beside the hips stays clear for transfers and for a carer’s hands.
