A pelvis that shifts sideways takes the trunk with it, and no amount of lateral support above will fix it. The hip supports for the Starfish Pro work at the pelvis itself, holding it centred in the seat so everything above has a level base.
They are supplied as a pair and the width is adjustable, so they can be brought in close for a small or asymmetric client and opened out again as the child grows. Getting the pelvis square also keeps the hygiene opening lined up, which matters for bowel care and catheterisation.
The cushions use the same pressure relieving, fluid repellent material as the rest of the range and come off for cleaning.
