About this product

After a lower limb amputation, the residual limb needs somewhere to rest when the client is seated. Left unsupported it hangs, which drags the pelvis down on that side and leaves the client sitting crooked through the day.

A stump support carries the residual limb on a padded platform mounted to the chair, so weight passes through the limb and the thigh, and the hip is not left carrying it. That helps hold the pelvis level, makes the seated position more comfortable and gives the client a stable base to push from when they propel.

It is supplied left or right to match the side of amputation, and it is mounted and set at the fitting so the height and angle suit the limb length.
