A self propelled shower commode with large rear wheels, fitted with a side opening seat. The side opening gives a carer or the client clear access from the side for perineal care and for wiping, which is the practical reason most therapists specify this aperture.
The user drives it themselves on the rear wheels with push to lock brakes, and the front castors lock as well, so it holds still for transfers. Swing-up arms clear the way for a board or standing transfer, and the height adjustable footrest swings away and comes off. An integrated push handle means a carer can take over when the client tires.
A three strap backrest gives support without trapping water, and the chair is built around the K Care removable seat system so the aperture and the seat can be matched to the client.
