An attendant propelled shower commode with electric tilt in space, built on a wide frame for bariatric use. Two actuators drive the tilt, so a carer changes the client’s position at the push of a button, with no manual mechanism to work against, which keeps the handling risk down on a routine that is done every day.
Tilt is what makes a long shower or toilet sit workable for someone who cannot hold their own trunk up. It redistributes pressure away from the sitting surface and lets the person rest back and stop fighting gravity. A contoured clamp on headrest supports the head once the chair is tilted back, and the vinyl covered padded backrest is curved for trunk contact.
Padded arms swing up for side transfers, and the chair runs on locking twin castors with one directional lock to hold a line down a corridor. It takes the K Care removable seat range, with the padded seat ordered to suit.
