For many clients this is all that is needed. A well angled lap belt stops the gentle forward creep that happens over a long session at the table and keeps the client where the rest of the chair can support them.

The buckle is simple enough for a client working towards independent release and quick enough for a carer in a hurry. Webbing adjusts on both sides so the belt can be centred properly.
