Floor play is where a lot of early learning happens, and a child who cannot hold long sitting misses most of it. The Jenx Corner Seat gives that child a stable base. The corner shape and padded wings hold the spine in midline, the back pad sets to the right height for the child, and an abduction block keeps the hips well back so the pelvis does not slide forward.
The upper back section lifts out as trunk control improves, so the seat can be wound back rather than replaced. Optional triangular cushions either flatten the back while keeping the wings, or sit beside the legs to limit external rotation. It is light enough for a parent or a teacher aide to carry between rooms, or to send between home and school, and it comes in blue, grey, lime, pink and red.
It suits a young child with low tone, cerebral palsy or developmental delay who cannot yet sit unsupported and needs a steady base for play alongside siblings or classmates. Long-leg sitting also helps maintain hamstring length. Small touch and close straps link the seat to the Jenx Nursery Table for meals and shared activities.
