About this product

For a child who scissors or adducts strongly in sitting, the abductor holds the knees comfortably apart so the pelvis can settle and the trunk has something to work from. It is a positioning component for the Rifton Activity Chair.

The post drops into a slot centred under the front of the seat and clicks into place, and the depth is adjusted by depressing the button and sliding the abductor to the setting you want. No tools are needed, so a therapist can set a position and a carer can repeat it. Leg prompts come off first if they are fitted.

Available in two sizes, which lets you match the width of the block to the child’s thigh separation. It removes entirely when a child no longer needs it.
