Larger clients who find getting in and out of a dining chair the hardest part of the meal will do well with the bariatric Revolution Chair. The seat swivels out to meet the person as they sit, then turns back to face the table, so the approach is straight on and no one has to shuffle sideways into a gap.
Once seated, a lever releases the slide mechanism and the seat travels forward to the table edge. The legs stay planted the whole time, which means the chair does not tip or skate across the floor while the person is moving on it. For a carer, that removes the lift and drag of hauling a loaded chair towards a table, and it keeps the client doing as much of the movement themselves as they can.
The frame is heavy duty steel with a wipeable commercial vinyl seat and back, so it stands up to daily use in a busy home or a care setting. The bariatric model is a fixed height chair and the seat does not lock against rotation.
