The Crocodile is a posterior walking aid for young people with a disability who need extra support to keep walking through the day. The frame sits behind the user, which encourages an upright trunk and an open chest.
Who it suits
Size 3 is the largest in the range and is built for older children and teenagers. It suits a client who has a walking pattern but tires, veers or loses control of direction. Directional stabilisers on the front wheels cut side to side wander, a wheel stop stops the frame rolling back on an incline or during a sit to stand, and the rear wheel tension can be dialled up or down as ability changes.
Height adjustment is tool free, so a therapist can change the set up mid session and a carer can do the same at home. The frame is light for its size and folds down, which matters when the walker travels between school, home and clinic.
