Lifting a child safely asks for a sling built to a child’s proportions, not a small adult one. This paediatric sling gives full body support through the trunk and legs, with an extra buckle at the head area so a child with limited head control is held through the lift and the recline.
Loops attach at four points, which lets the carer vary how upright or reclined the child sits by choosing different loop lengths. That is useful when the same sling is doing a bed to chair transfer in the morning and a more reclined lift later in the day. Padded construction keeps pressure off the back of the legs for a child who is thin or bony.
Access at the front and sides means dressing and toileting routines can carry on with the sling in place, which cuts the number of times a child has to be moved.
