The Molift Quattro is a freestanding four-post gantry that carries a portable ceiling hoist right across a room, with nothing fixed to the ceiling or the walls. Two parallel rails on the posts support a traverse rail that slides, so the hoist reaches the bed, a chair or the floor anywhere inside the footprint.
That full coverage is the difference between this and a straight two-post rail. A client can be lifted from where they have fallen, not just between two fixed points, and a mobile hoist is not crowding the room. It bolts together from aluminium rail sections and posts and can be dismantled and moved to another room or another home.
It suits a client who needs hoisted transfers in a room where a ceiling track cannot be fitted, or where the tenancy or the funding decision does not yet justify a permanent installation. Where the ceiling can take a track, a fixed Molift rail system is neater and leaves the floor clear. Where only a single line between bed and chair is needed, a straight freestanding rail on two posts may be enough.
Good to know
- Hoist, sling and spreader bar are not included; ask us to quote the gantry with a Molift Air or Nomad hoist
- Installed and commissioned by our trained technicians; allow floor space for the four post feet
- Check ceiling height and door access before choosing the 4 x 4 m size
