Ski runners replace the standard feet on the chair and change how it behaves on the floor. They spread the contact along two rails, which makes the chair harder to tip for a child who pushes, rocks or throws themselves backwards.
The curved profile also allows controlled rocking, and for some children that gentle movement is regulating: it settles them enough to stay seated and engage with what is in front of them. Sensory seeking children who would otherwise leave the chair will often stay in it once there is movement available. The runners also slide on carpet and hard floors without marking them, so the chair can be nudged into position at a table without lifting.
They fit the chair frame directly and match the five chair sizes.
