The K Care Tilt in Space Mobile Shower Commode is an attendant propelled chair whose seat and backrest tilt together, so a carer can rest the client back for showering and toileting without opening up the hip angle. That keeps posture settled while the pressure comes off.
It is built around choice of fit: five seat widths across the range, a swing-away footrest, and padded loop armrests that swing back to clear a side transfer from a bed or wheelchair. Seat, pan and pan carrier are ordered separately, so the aperture and pan can be matched to the client and to the toilet rather than taken as supplied.
Who it suits
A client who tires or slides forward on an upright commode, needs the carer to manage their position during a shower, or is at risk of pressure injury from sitting upright for the whole routine: for example a client with advanced MS, stroke with poor trunk control, or frailty. Choose the width from the hip measurement in sitting plus clothing room. The tilt is the reason to specify it, so it is worth confirming the client needs that position change before you quote.
