The JAY X2 suits an active wheelchair user who needs reliable pressure care but does not want to sit up high or carry extra bulk around all day. It pairs a contoured foam base with a JAY Flow fluid insert that sits under the bony areas of the pelvis, so loading is spread where skin is most at risk.
A notch at the rear of the base reduces pressure over the coccyx, and removable lateral thigh supports let you fine tune how much the cushion holds the legs in midline. The fluid needs no pumping, checking or topping up, which makes it a sensible option for a client who self propels all day and for families who do not want another maintenance task.
Two covers do the daily work: a water resistant inner cover with an anti wicking zip to protect the foam, and a stretch outer cover that reduces surface tension and goes through the wash.
