The CG Air is a therapeutic air cushion built from medical grade PVC cells joined by high frequency welding rather than adhesives, so there are no glued seams to fail. Air moves through channels between the cells, which means load is spread across the whole seating surface and the bony points are offloaded instead of carrying the client’s weight.
This build is the single valve, single compartment version with the taller cell height. More cell height means more immersion, which is the usual choice where pressure risk is higher. The PVC holds its shape once the cushion is inflated, so the cushion forms an ischial well that helps limit forward migration and posterior pelvic tilt, rather than letting the client slide into a slumped position through the day.
The single valve keeps setup simple for a client or carer managing inflation at home. The incontinence cover is the fluid resistant option where the cushion needs protecting, and the cushion itself cleans with soap and chlorine solutions and can be machine washed or autoclaved, which suits shared and reissue settings.
