The Active Ultra Lite is an 11.2 kg aluminium self-propelled chair with curved armrests that adjust from 230 to 330 mm above the seat. Getting the arm height right helps with posture and with pushing up to stand.
The 559 mm (22 in) rear wheels come off with a quick release and the backrest half folds, so the chair packs down for the car. Swing-away legrests lift off for transfers, the seat has a dual-layer cushion, and anti-tippers and a seatbelt are included. The frame has a carbon texture finish.
Who it suits
A person who self-propels and wants a light chair with a little more adjustment than a basic model, up to 135 kg. It has no tie-down points and is not for use as a seat in a motor vehicle, so plan to transfer into a vehicle seat.
