Some people need more support than a standard chair can give but do not need a fully custom seating system. The Drive ID Soft fills that gap. It combines tilt-in-space with a backrest that reclines from 90 to 120 degrees, so posture and pressure can be shifted through the day without a transfer.
Comfort is built in: a padded headrest with adjustable ear cushions, long curved padded armrests that remove with a push button, and elevating legrests that adjust for width, height and calf pad depth. Seat depth adjusts from 400 to 460 mm. For the carer there are height-adjustable push handles and anti-tip wheels with a foot stepper tube for kerbs.
Who it suits
A person who spends long periods in their chair and needs regular position changes, at home, in aged care or after a hospital stay. Choose 610 mm (24 in) rear wheels for self-propelling or mid-sized wheels for a chair pushed by a carer. Sources differ on whether it can be used as a seat in a motor vehicle, so confirm vehicle use with us before transport. Book a trial and we will work through the fit with the prescribing OT.
