Tilt in Space

A woman in a folding wheelchair browsing plants in a garden centre

Tilt-in-space wheelchairs tilt the whole seat and backrest together, so the hip and knee angles stay the same while the person’s weight moves back off the seat and onto the backrest. For people who sit for most of the day, need help shifting their weight or tire quickly in an upright chair, that change in position can help with pressure care, posture and comfort.
This range covers attendant and self-propelled tilt chairs used in homes, aged care and hospitals across Tasmania, including the Drive ID Soft, Invacare Azalea, Netti 4U CE Plus and Breezy Relax 2. Seat width, depth, back height, headrests, laterals and leg supports vary by model, and most are set up to suit the person.
Thrive works alongside the prescribing OT or physio from the first conversation, not just when the paperwork is done. We bring chairs out to trial in the setting where they’ll be used, help compare options, and look after set-up, servicing and repairs from our Launceston and Cambridge showrooms. Tasmanian owned, Tasmania-wide. Quotes available for NDIS, aged care and DVA.
