For a client at high risk of pressure injury who still needs a mattress that feels like a bed, the CuroCell A4 CX16 gives alternating pressure care on deep cells with a fully automatic pump. The pump senses the person on the surface and sets the pressure itself, so there is no dial for a family carer to get wrong.

It is used in prevention and in treatment of existing wounds, including deeper categories, and it has an integrated heel function that takes load off the area most people lose skin on first. Quiet running matters at home and overnight, and the pump only works when it needs to.

The hygiene cover is four way stretch and vapour permeable, which reduces shear on the surface and helps keep the skin drier.
