Plenty of clients spend most of the day sitting up in bed to eat, read, watch something or receive care. As the backrest lifts, the load shifts onto the sacrum, and that is exactly where support has to hold.
The TheraFlow8 addresses that directly. It is a replacement alternating system from Patient Support Systems, an Australian maker, running a one in three cell cycle across single-chamber TPU cells. This king single comes with the Semi-Zone kit already fitted, which holds support under the sacrum once the backrest passes a shallow angle and maintains it well past sitting upright. The control unit is included, with a static mode for transfers and care tasks, and the cover is a two-way stretch welded top with a microfibre hyperstretch coverlet.
