If your client uses a hoist or a slide board to get in and out of their Configura Advance chair, a fixed armrest gets in the way. This drop down armrest swings clear so a sling can be placed and removed without lifting the person over the arm, and side transfers can be done with far less handling for everyone involved.
It fits to either the left or right side of the chair, so it can be set up to match the side the person transfers to and the layout of the room. In use it sits at the normal arm position and gives the same support for resting the forearm and for pushing up when the person is changing position.
The black vinyl cover wipes down, which matters in shared care settings where chairs move between residents.
