The platform folds down out of the way when it is not wanted, so it does not obstruct a transfer in or out of the chair. The release lever is large and easy to operate, which suits reduced hand strength, and engaging and disengaging the shelf takes one movement.

It fits on either side of the chair, so it can be set on the client’s stronger side or moved if the chair is repositioned in the room. The platform is vinyl wrapped and hard wearing, so it wipes down after meals and drinks.
