Most clients who need a profiling bed at home do not want their bedroom to look like a ward. The Community Bed does the clinical work, four part profiling with height adjustment, in a frame built to sit comfortably in a home bedroom and to break down for storage.
Who it suits
It suits clients who need help sitting up, repositioning or getting their legs raised, and carers who need the working height changed so they are not bending over the bed. The backrest and knee break adjust independently, or the auto contour function raises head and knees together at one touch, which is easier for a client with cognitive impairment to manage. The auto regressive backrest reduces shear as the head end comes up.
The hand control is light, water resistant and uses soft touch buttons. Four individually locking castors let carers move the bed for cleaning and access, the mattress platform wipes down, and the mattress retainers lift out. A built in base extension covers taller clients without a separate kit.
