This is the Impulse 400 in a wider mattress base, sometimes called half queen, finished in Bardolino Oak. It is a profiling healthcare bed built around falls prevention: the platform lowers close to the floor so a client who rolls or slides out has a short way to go, and raises to a working height where carers and therapists are not stooping over the bed.
The frame is anodised aluminium with solid timber handrails and timber panels. The look is domestic rather than hospital, which is the deciding factor where a client is resistant to a clinical bed at home. Four way electric adjustment profiles the backrest and legrest, and mattress compensation with auto-contour reduces shear and sliding as the bed moves.
Reclining surface options include removable ABS panels for fast cleaning, a comfort sprung surface, or metal mesh for ventilation. Side rails run from none through to fold-down split rails or full length rails, so the configuration can follow the restrictive practice decision rather than force it. A tool free bed extension is available where the client is tall.
