Who it suits
The RotoBed CHANGE is for someone who can no longer get in and out of bed safely, and for the household doing that work for them. At the press of a button the bed lifts into a chair position and rotates towards the room, bringing the person to the edge of the bed sitting upright with their feet down.
From there a transfer to a wheelchair or a stand aid is a short, controlled move. For a person with progressive weakness, high tone or pain on movement, it takes the worst part of the day out of the routine. For a partner or a support worker it removes a manual handling task that puts backs at risk, and it can bring a two person transfer back down to one.
This version comes with a fabric surround and a low footboard, which keeps the bed looking domestic in a bedroom. Single and king single widths are available, with a longer option for taller clients.
