About this product

The Staebel EN7 is an Australian made floorline bed, built by Active Medical in New South Wales. It puts the sleeping surface close to the floor for a client who falls from bed, and still lifts to hip height so nobody is nursing on their knees. That combination is what a floorline bed is for.

Backrest, knee break and tilt both ways are electric, and the backrest auto-regresses as it rises, sliding back to take shear off the sacrum during a long sit up. A chair position function is on the handset. All the actuators sit under the platform, so there are no end pedestals to work around during transfers or hoist positioning.

This is the king single, which gives a larger client, or one who moves a lot in bed, more room than a single. It comes with natural oak slender arch end boards, an ironstone powder coated frame and braking twin wheel castors. Bluetooth handset, battery backup, under bed light and USB ports can be specified at build.

Who it suits

Clients with a history of falls from bed, night-time confusion or seizures, where a floor-level bed removes the need for restrictive rails. The top height also covers clients who are hoisted or nursed for pressure care, and an optional handset lifts the rating for bariatric care.
