Heat and moisture at the skin are part of what turns a pressure risk into a wound, and a foam surface can hold both. The Aurea Ventraflow is built to deal with that: key-hole shaped castellations in the top layer open lateral and longitudinal air channels through the foam core, so air moves inside the mattress and hot spots have somewhere to go.
The same castellated surface gives the immersion and envelopment needed for pressure redistribution at medium risk, while a firm foundation layer underneath prevents bottoming out during transfers and bed profiling. High density hinged sides keep the edge firm for perching, which matters for falls risk at the point a client sits down.
The Premiflex Ultra cover is fully vapour permeable with a four way stretch top and a double coated base, is inherently antimicrobial and fire retardant, and tolerates chlorine based cleaning for infection control. The zip is welded on both sides with a water protection flap.
