Walking opens doors for a child: physically, emotionally and socially. It is not only a developmental box to tick, it is how children get to where other children are. The R82 Crocodile is a paediatric walking aid built to make that possible for children who need support to do it.
The frame is light and adjustable, which is the combination that decides whether a walker gets used or left in a corner. Light enough that the child can drive it rather than fight it, adjustable enough that the therapist can set it up properly and change it as the child grows and their pattern improves.
It handles indoors and out. The AT version is built for rougher ground, so a family can take it to the park or around a lake rather than keeping the walker for the hallway at home. R82 have a video of Andreas and his family doing exactly that, which is a useful thing to show parents who are not sure what a walker will let their child do.
