The postural backrest is the most adjustable back option for the Configura Advance, and it is the one to specify when a client’s spine will not accommodate a standard shape. It is supplied complete, so the whole back assembly is replaced and the support is built in.
Support is built up section by section to follow the person’s shape, which means a fixed kyphosis, a pelvic obliquity or an asymmetric trunk can be accommodated. When the back matches the person, pressure spreads more evenly across the contact area and the client tends to stay where they were positioned through the afternoon.
It also gives you room to move later. The setup can be revisited as posture changes, so a chair fitted for a progressive condition keeps working for longer.
