It is finished in vapour permeable material, which lets moisture move away from the skin at the back of the head and neck. That is worth having on any chair used all day, and particularly for a heavier client who runs warm while sitting.

Keeping the head supported and central also makes the tilted positions usable. If the head drops forward or sideways every time the chair is reclined, carers end up bringing the client back upright, and the pressure relief that tilt was meant to deliver never happens.
