About this product

Toileting and showering is where a lot of postural support falls apart. A child who cannot sit unsupported ends up held by a parent, or rushed through, or done on a bed. The R82 Heron is a paediatric shower commode built to take that whole routine on one chair.

It works three ways: freestanding over a commode pan, rolled over a standard toilet, or wheeled into the shower. Tilt-in-space and back recline let you position a child who fatigues or whose tone makes upright sitting unsafe, and the gas strut height adjustment brings them up to the carer’s working height, which takes the bending out of the job for parents and support workers. Four lockable castors hold the chair steady for transfers.

The moulded seat has a cut-out and pressure mapped padding and is machine washable, so it stands up to daily use at home, at school and in respite.

Who it suits
